Notice the log On Training button this loads the training data when in this mode no live data will be modified.

The Main Menu Interface allows access to all installed Surveillance Management System applications. All users are provided the appropriate privileges according to their user rights. Usernames and many other repetitive fields are filled in automatically.

*Note: For illustration purposes we have shown most windows in the new Windows XP style. Surveillance Management system will run on pre-Windows XP Machines and has been tested on Windows 2000. However Surveillance Management System has been optimized to run on XP.

A single-click on the Log/Report button will bring up one of the following menus if your casino has purchased the optional Black Jack Card Counting System.

Or

From the Log Menu users can access the Surveillance Log, Reporting System, Equipment Log, Phone Log and the Bad Tape, Exclusions and Card Count Applications.

The most commonly used module is the Surveillance Log. Single-click to open this application.

This is the main screen for the Surveillance Log. Single-click access buttons are provided for the Phone Log and Reports on this application. This screen is where written reports are generated.

The log number, date and time are automatically generated and not editable. The actual date and actual time can be used when real-time logging is not possible.

When a new record is added, the system will auto-fill the log number, date, time, actual date, and actual time along with the initials, name and gaming license number of the logged-in user.

Once the incident type is selected, the system will set the priority and will inform the user if a report is mandatory and which group or groups to be notified. The Summary Field is for free-form text descriptions of the activity.

The following is an example of the Surveillance log normally printed landscape size reduced to fit documentation:

The report is saved report when the user clicks the Create / Update Report button. The new Surveillance Report will track all information from the log in the same log number. One click on the reports button is all that is necessary to complete report.

Tracking telephone calls is accomplished with the same procedures after clicking the Phone Log button. This basic program satisfies regulatory agency requirements.  Simply click on the Add button and the date and time and officer initial fields will auto-fill. The user fills in the appropriate information and exits back to the Surveillance Log.

The following is an example of the Phone Log normally printed landscape size reduced to fit documentation:

A single click on Reports button takes the user to the Report module. The Report program has five file tabs on the top of the screen.

Page 1 gives the user access to an overview of the incident including a basic summary, dates, times and reporting officer information. The Shift Supervisor can be assigned from this page. Notice the report completed check box, once this is checked only management can modify the report.

Page 2 contains fields for a narrative, parties involved and checkboxes for notified departments/agencies. Note checking the box is like a digital signature.

or for digital

In addition to the still images, evidence tapes can be cross-referenced to the report. The user can enter the tape numbers directly into the fields on Picture Page 1.  Once all the relevant tape numbers are entered, the user clicks on the Update Tapes button. This will not only create a cross-reference between the report and the tape numbers, it generates new labels for replacement tapes.

or for digital systems

The remaining pages give the user the opportunity to attach up to six photographs to the report.

Third party hardware and software is used to capture images from the surveillance videotapes, live images being reviewed by the reporting officer or Digital Camera Images. The Add Picture buttons on the Picture Pages are used to link and save images to the report.

Once all of the fields are completed, the Print button prints the report.

One of the newest additions is the Casino Exclusions Program.

It is an on-screen image reference library used to identify people that have been excluded from the casino. Compilation of images is done locally, but future plans are to link these databases statewide.

An additional information page is in keeping with the company’s goals of a shared database.

You may edit or add information on this page.

You may print a notice from each record to assist in identification or to have a hard copy.

Surveillance Management System Newest optional application Black Jack Card Count this program assists surveillance officers detect card counting, and other methods of cheating

The Operator will be warned if too many cards have been dealt.

The latest addition to the surveillance management system is the pass down log. Designed to replace the written pass down log and provide instant access to the log by all officers and supervisors. Each officer and supervisor should review at the beginning of shift to stay current on current operational situation.

The Tape Menu provides access to the Tapes, Make Labels, Make Dup Tape Labels, and Print Labels programs.

The make tape labels program is primarily designed to create tape records during initial set up and major tape replacement.

Fields consist of VCR start number, number of VCRs, number of shifts, and week.

Tape rotation schedules can be set for every 7,14,21,28, or 35 days.

This will generate individual serialized tape records for all tapes.

In the tapes program the user can view individual records, make annotations, check tape location, if a label has been printed.

The following is an example of the evidence tape cross-reference report normally printed landscape size reduced to fit documentation:

The two Print menus give the choice of printing a standard-sized Avery address label or long labels (for VHS tape backbones).

The label printing programs will print all labels in serial number order.

Standard-sized Avery address label.

Long labels for VHS tape backbones.

The Duplicate Tape Labeling program is for making labels for and tracking of duplicate tapes that have been issued outside of surveillance.

This is essential since most surveillance managers prefer not to give out original tapes if possible. Enter the serial numbers of the duplicate tapes and the program generates labels and the necessary cross-references.

This menu is restricted to administrators of the Surveillance Management System only. Only the users authorized to use this program can change system-wide parameters. Included is User and Company information, incident types, the ability to clean data, archive reports and data or administer the camera inventory.

The System Users program allows administrators to add or modify users of the system. It is recommended to enter all the information for each user since it is used in many parts of the system. If the Setup checkbox is selected, the user can access the set menu and delete reports.

The Company Information Program is used to input basic company information used thru ought the system.

The Incident Type module allows Surveillance Management to enter Incident / Report types used in the log and reports program and assign each a priority. It also gives the authority to assign parameters for reports,  if they are necessary, and who needs to be notified.

This optional program is used to create cross-reference tables for camera locations. This type of documentation is very helpful in large systems and training.

The following is an example of the camera assignments and cross-reference reports normally printed landscape size reduced to fit documentation:

Designed move old records and reports out of active data bases and save unique filenames. Note: do not perform this if you need instant access to these records. Records can be retrieved by DERISCO Inc for a nominal cost. All Users must be out of the Surveillance Management System.

This program is used as it says to undelete records that have been deleted accidentally. The Surveillance Management System doesn’t delete the record until the clean database program has been run. The following screen shots show a deleted record with a black box to the left means the record has been deleted if you click the box to clear the deleted mark the record is undeleted.

As you can see the record has been undeleted simply pres escape to go thought the other tables and exit the program. When you go back to the program you will see the record is back.

The clean Database program cleans up deleted records and optimizes the database. Do not run this program unless you are sure that there are no unintentionally deleted records. Also make sure all systems are out of the Surveillance Management System, if not the program will crash and possible data loss may occur.

The Location Database is used to enter locations for the log and reports.

The Casino Name Database is used to enter casino names for the exclusion database.

The Clean training data program resets the training data and copies the current user database to the training side. The training mode is a complete second set of expendable files for training only.

The new standard verbiage feature is used for the log summary to save key strokes and to standardize some routine entries enter all Standard Verbiage through this program.

The Surveillance Shot Program.

This optional program is designed to enhance communications between Surveillance and Security. The Surveillance Shot program saves pictures from the surveillance system to be read with a handheld Pocket PC using a secure 802.11b wireless connection.

Simply copy the picture you wish to send to the clipboard and double click the following icon the picture will be readable by security on the Pocket PC:
